Biography

Mickael Maddison found solace in music as a way to unwind from his technology business ventures and explore his artistic side. In 2005, encouraged by his wife, he began recording his songs with producer James Lipoth. What started as a personal project quickly turned public when local radio station 97.5FM The River began playing his tracks “Drink” and “When I’m Free,” leading to the release of his debut EP “Free” (2005).

Mickael’s live performance debut came in 2006 at Kamloops’ annual “Family Fun Festival,” backed by bassist Jonathan Anthony and drummer Dan Hum. Their success led to more gigs, including notable festivals like Hot Nite in the City, Music in the Park, and local Canada Day celebrations.

In 2008, Mickael took control of his recording process, producing his 10-song album “In Loving Misery…,” dedicated to his late father. The album received airplay on multiple stations across Canada and beyond, with tracks like “Sweet Misery” and “Molecules of Oxygen” popularity.

Since then Mickael has released 2 singles and continues to perform as an acoustic duo with Chris Brock while working on plans to record his newest music.
